No more excuses, no more putting it off. When they call or message you, just do it.
Nike and WiggleWireless have teamed up to deliver daily inspiration and advice to runners anywhere, anytime.
The pair's new mobile service, called Nike Wireless - Training on the Run, gives runners the opportunity to personally train with Nike athletic experts. Mobile users can sign up to receive customized training programs for 5K or 10K races or half marathons via mobile messaging.
Users first select a training program online that is customized to their fitness level and desired training distance. Runners activate the program by following a personalized training regimen sent daily to their mobile phones by Nike and WiggleWireless. Also available are morning wake-up calls from Nike, giving sleepy runners the nudge they need to roll out of bed and onto the streets for a run. Inspiration calls also can remind runners to stay active during lunch breaks or even fill their evenings with running-related stress relievers.
"A lot of our focus has been with Ironmans, running and endurance-related events," says WiggleWireless President Jeff Pokonosky. "We really wanted to inspire people."
